The river dolphin called “Profosu” is a brackish water dolphin that moves between the coast, the Commewijne and the Suriname river. With a dome boat (covered against sun and possible rain) we leave from Leonsberg and go in search of these dolphins. On the way you will receive explanations about the area, Nieuw Amsterdam, the Suriname river, the shrimp peeling plants, the plantations and the Commewijne river.
After we have enjoyed the dolphins, the photos and videos are made, the boat sails towards plantation Rust en Werk. There we will enjoy a nice walk with explanation about the plantation. After this it is time to get back in the boat and sail towards Leonsberg. You can enjoy another drink here. Leonsberg is the start and end point of this tour.
